President Rajapakse has emphasised to the international community that Sri Lanka has taken an upfront position in the global community's efforts to deal with terrorism. He said it is not proper to use human rights as a tool to victimise states for political advantage.
Minister Jeyaraj Fernandopulle says that LTTE political head S. P. Thamilselvan should be summoned before a Parliamentary Select Committee to probe the alleged LTTE and Government deal, failing which he could give evidence through video conferencing.
