This is the second of two Kate Smith shows that the Grand Ole Opry gang appeared on in the spring of 1952. Just about seven months later, Hank was gone.
From The Kate Smith Evening Hour 1952..Roy Acuff, Hank, the Carter family and all the traveling Opry Gang do a farewell number... plus Kate does a rollicking production number -- "Feudin' And Fightin'"
(1958) Hank tries out a "new" tune on a Southern Californian crowd. In reality, "I'm Movin On" was the top country song of 1950 and to this day holds the country music record for the number of consecutive weeks at number one on the country charts.
LIVE from San Quentin. Feb. 1969. The lead guitarist here is Bob Wootton, with Marshall Grant on bass, W.S.("Fluke") Holland on drums, and Carl Perkins on guitar and vocals (along with the Carter Family and the Statler Brothers).
