A quick peek at another predator of the underwater world. The Chub is a fast, agile predator, capable of taking other fish, including its own species as well as frogs, small mammals and occasionally young water birds.
I came across this rather agressive gopher or 'bull' snake whilst searching for rattlers in the hills of contra costa county, California. Certainly the most agressive snake I've had on film so far, he was blowing a gale!

In a reserve in Tanzania I was filming me room when this giant African centipede, which have infact caused several human fatalities, crawled under my foot, then up me leg. Whoooeee, you little beauty! I had to flick him off 'cos he paused to bite, but afterwards i picked him up and released him outside. One wild unit!
