This song was especially recorded to be released as a single for Gruppo´s best selling compilation album "Back To 19 Mistakes". It´s a Wall of Voodoo cover. The video was shot & directed in Antwerp by Rogier van der Ploeg, who worked with the Golden Earring later on.
During their first English tour (1976) young & hairy GS played OGWT (3 songs) also starring The Police, The Jam & Dire Straits. Those guys all became superstars, but Gruppo´s still around working their asses off! Strange? Wait ´till you watch this... (if copyright seems to be a problem this clip will be removed immediately).
"Girls Never Know" is one of Gruppo´s best losers may win sometimes song written & sang in that typical tongue in cheek Vandenburg Dutchenglish. British press & loads of punkrockers seem to like it in those days. In 1978, by NME, Gruppo wasn´t chosen third most promising & upcoming band for nothing!
"Rock ´n Roll" was Gruppo´s second single & first hit in Holland, in England however "Beep Beep Love" was released as a single & later "Disco Really Made It" as a "specially reduced 12" single" in a 12" sleeve. Gruppo humor, still a strange duck in the bite! By the way, both singles never made it in England.
