The video is unstable for the first minute or so, then it gets better- Sorry. Jay is playing Africa Hot, by John Wooton, at his school talent show. We forgot the tripod and were not in the best situation for recording, so again, please excuse the poor recording quality. Jay was on the very young side of 11 when this was recorded.
Jay is playing piano and bells. Along with his other videos, this displays his versatility as a young student percussionist and musician. Jay is 11 years old.
Jay is playing Beatlicious by Bill Bachman, though a measure or two of the sticking is not exactly as written. Jay added an extra visual element (crossing the sticking) which actually makes that part more difficult to play. He was 11 years old when this was recorded.
This is Jay's comparative Tornado video. It is not quite two (2) years since the previous Tornado video. Jay is now 12 years old- the young side of 12 at that.
In this performance, the snare is tuned differently from the previous video performance of the same solo entitled "Practice Session 3". This is not one of his better run-throughs, as our focus was more on testing and tuning the drum during this run through.
Jay's was featured at a recent NBA Grizzlies game. He performed with the Grizzline and played this solo in front 12,000+ people. This is just a short little 25 second solo that he patched or put together for entertaining the crowd. Thanks to all for giving Jay the opportunity to play this season.
