Zülle was 8 seconds back when Bartoli takes a look over his shoulder, attacks Jalabert and solos across the finish line.
The regrettable Tom Steels bottle throwing incident. Steels would be thrown out of the Tour for this stunt. Also included is a relegation for Erik Zabel due to improper sprinting and a doping offense for Djamolidine Abdoujaparov which would see him ejected from the Tour as well.
