Once Rubi gets word of Alejandro's wedding to Sonia. Rubi immediately goes to Alejandro's house (where the wedding is being held) to stop it. Rubi begs Alejandro to forgive what she has done and to please not to marry Sonia. Rubi tells him she still loves him and that she knows he still loves me (Rubi) too.
These are scenes leading up to the death of Sonia & the aftermath. Rubi goes to confrot Sonia about stirring up trouble between Rubi & Hector. It turn into a very heated & tragic argument. Leaving Sonia dead & Alejandro without a wife.
Rubi confesses to her mom that she was the one who put her own sister's boyfriend in jail. Once her mom finds out the truth her blood pressure starts to rise after having a argument with Rubi. The outcome of all this end with Rubi & Cristina's mom dead.

After Rubi gets tired of the true love her sister Cristina & Cayetano have. She takes matters into her own hands. She puts a very expensive necklace in his bag where he gets arrested for stealing.
After Rubi finds out the truth about Maribel's true feeling for Alejandro. Rubi uses that to her advantage. She goes to Alejandro's wife Sonia & tells her that she shouldn't be worried about her (Rubi) stealing Alejandro away because Maribel is also in love with Aljenadro.
Once Lorena catches Rubi & Hector about to run away. She immediately goes to the church where the wedding of Hector & Maribel was supposed to happen. There she finds Alejandro and tells him that there isn't going to be a wedding because Rubi & Hector have ran away together. This comes as a HUGE shock to Alejandro.
