Part 1 of my pseudo-speedrun of Castlevania: Rondo of Blood with live commentary. I say pseudo cause there are many mistakes. I use an emulator, but this is not tool assisted.
This part contains the Prologue, Stage 1, and part of Stage 2.
There are two purposes for this video:
1) To prove that I do not use a turbo controller.
2) A how-to video showing the method I use to get around in Symphony of the Night. After watching this, perhaps you will use this method too. It'll definitely speed up your game.

Here I get my first soul, an Axe Armor. In the next segment, I get another. One is needed to synthesize the Bhuj I use later, the other I use against a few bosses. The extra soul may be skippable in a future run.
This part contains the rest of Stage 2, getting Maria, and part of Stage 3.
This is when the mistakes start getting bad. I'll tell you right now, this won't be the only time I get screwed on Stage 3.

I'm very proud of this one. It's pretty much flawless. I sell my stuff at Hammer's and buy an Axe and Mind Ups. Then I visit Yoko and synthesize a Bhuj, which I will use for the rest of the game. I get the Bomber Armor soul, which I won't use till much later.

This could've been better. The biggest mistake was fudging that one jump. Twice. The reason I kept this was that I got the Yorick soul on the first available enemy. Something I hadn't planned. I skip the Doppleganger soul because it's not necessary.
IF YOU STEAL THIS RUN FROM SPEED DEMOS ARCHIVE AND CLAIM IT AS YOUR OWN, YOU WILL SUFFER DIRE CONSEQUENCES.
Again, more of the same here. Only major differences are omitting an Onyx, and what I will call "The Flea Rider Fiasco." You'll see what I mean. I also did get the double jump again, although now part of me regrets it. Still, it does benefit more than it hurts.

Here I get the Elfin Robe and Ninja Suit. The Ninja Suit gives a nice Attack and Defense boost, while Elfin Robe gives an unheard of INT+8. This means my attacks will be plenty more powerful and I can take more damage.

I got an amazing Dario fight. I was able to stun him multiple times. I had not planned this at all. During the tile puzzle, I made a few extra moves, but that's me being nervous and anxious. I get the Cutall, which is the key to skipping many areas in the game.
