This is an Airbus training video for the deployment of the floor level exits found at the front and rear of Airbus A318/A319/A320/A321 series aircraft. This particular video utilizes a single-lane evacuation slide that can be detached for use as a flotation device. Another variant found aboard these aircraft is a wider slide/raft.
This is an Airbus training video on the deployment of the overwing exits on the Airbus A320 series aircraft. When the hatch is removed, the slide starts inflating from a compartment aft of the hatch. This slide cannot be used in a ditching emergency. This design of evacuation slide is found on A318, A319 and A320 aircraft. Notice how fast the slide inflates!
This type of door design is found on similar DC-9 and B-717 aircraft. Like B-737 aircraft doors, it does not have a power-assist. In this video, the slide does not automatically inflate, requiring the flight attendant to pull the manual inflation handle. The particular aircraft belonged to Jet America, based out of Long Beach, CA.
