The Ganges is a holy river for the Hindi. They believe that who can die in the area of Varanassi will become salvation and freedom in the lifecyclus of birth and rebirth. Washing yourself in the river Ganges and worship there is nearly the highest in life you can reach.
I have made this trip in international company in 1994. We walked around in the mountains, a litle bit of a jungle and visit several villages of the Meo, the Karen, the Shan and the Lawa tribes. Special: a waterfall, elefant-riding, hot springs and bamboe-rafting.
The Junagarh Fort is an impressive fort in the city of Bikaner. It was built in 1588 AD by Raja Rai Singhji, the sixth ruler of Bikaner, who ruled form 1571 to 1611 AD.
It is one of the few major forts in Rajasthan not built on a hilltop.
Inside you can see the richness of the former rulers scraped together from all over the world: Belgium glass and Dutch Delft's blue for example.
