I started off at the Hobgoblin pub in Akasaka because I was thirsty for Blackthorn cider. Afterwards I turned the camera on myself while I took a little stroll through the neighborhood but...well, you'll see. It didn't go so well, so I walked to Roppongi where I had a bit more fun. Then I went home. The end.

I shot this video during the dog days of summer. Yu-Land is an onsen and park on the outskirts of Koga that I take the kids to every so often. In the video, that constant drone you hear in the background is the sound of cicadas.

Hundreds of years ago, people in Koga got the crazy idea to have teams wield 20 meter tall polls topped with lanterns, and compete to knock each other's lanterns out. The festival has been held every year since then.
