Stephen Blanchett, a member of the Yup'ik (Inuit) group Pamyua recently came "home" to Kasigluk to spend a week with our students. (He is from the nearby village of Nunapitchuk.) Pamyua is an indigenous Alaskan Native band that fuses Arctic Inuit traditions with world rhythms. Here he helps our dance team practice for the Cama'i Festival.
