Becky is a 12 yo Canadian Standardbred mare available to adopt from Bright Futures Farm. She's a great driver, but has not been ground schooled or under saddle yet. She's willing and smart. She'll make a great pleasure/trail horse when finished.

12 yo Standardbred mare. Raced, pastured, but never ridden until July 1, 2007. She will be a great riding horse for just about anyone, but first needs ground school and schooled under saddle. Schooling her would be a great project for the novice rider.

This is a movie i made because i am sick of people underestimating standardbreds. They are amazing, loving, versitle horses and deserve to be treated with respect and given a chance.
Not critique on my riding or my horse. He has still got a long way to go, but he proves all these myths wrong, and that is the point of the video.

Known as Trotters or Pacers in the racing world, Standardbreds are the best kept secret to those of us that take them on after their racing days.
Contrary to popular opinion, these horses transform in to wonderful saddle horses who go on to do Eventing, Show Jumping, Dressage, Showing, Endurance, the list is endless.
Standardbreds really are Superstars!
