Ferocious and brave peccary takes on 2 jaguars. (The footage is in the Amazon. I didn't see the entire program--just caught this amazing fight scene.) The peccary ends up dying in the little river from exhaustion from its wounds caused by this attack.

Big Bend National Park, Texas - this happy Javelina would make a daily pilgrimage to the camper's water faucet for a quick drink. Remembering it is a wild animal, and that they can be aggressive, I keep my distance. At Monteverde we found this little peccary. It had been someone's pet and was confiscated and released at this reserve. It followed our group as we went on a hike. Great pig. :)
Paccarys are fearsome creatures that have been known to attack and even kill dogs and people. We were shocked out in the Costa Rican forest then when this friendly one came to say hello! Video from http://www.CostaRica TravelRevealed.com
