To start up the Shittown Festival in Copenhagen, Denmark. A protest for a new Ungdomshus (Radical Youth house) in the city took place from Norrebro to the Freetown Christiania.
These are approx 9 minutes from the Copenhagen riots in march 2007. I shot these pictures as a freelance photographer. They contain material that some people may find disturbing. I have choosen NOT to edit the sound or picture.
This is for those of you who, for whatever the reason, want to relive the atmosphere during the night between march 2/3 in 2007.

Exactly one year after the Ungdomshus was demolished, the former users of the house go on a demonstration to demand to get a new house as soon as possible. The "slogan" for this demonstration was "You broke our heart, not our spirit" and people were encouraged to bring their families with them. It started at Norrebrohallen and was headed down to Rådhuspladsen.
