The Nvidia 'Box of Smoke' tech demo. All the physics in the demo are rendered by the GPU, enabling highly realistic physics without the need of a PhysX card, and without a loss of frame rate.
This video was made using an 8800GTX (Though the demo runs on other cards, just not as well)

Cloth Simulation on GPU and CPU using C++ with OpenGL and Cg. Particles are animated using Verlet integration and the cloth is build using fixed bars.
Tested on a Radeon 9600. Simulation on GPU has some deformations due to precision problems on some ATI cards. It was tested on a Nvidia card with similar results on GPU and CPU.

Q. What's the fastest single GPU video card on the market (not X2)?
A. The fastest single GPU (not X2) video card on the market is the NVIDIA GTX 280. AMD has the 4870 which can't complete with the GTX280, but it's a very fast video card. Also note that NVIDIA will be reducing the cost of their GTX260 & GTX280 video cards. Watch video to find out more.
