SO VERSATILE! this has to be my favorite pickup combo to date! I wish I could rip out the 85's in halloween and arion and throw in 89s...just not in the cards.
in the middle you can hear the clean tone of the humbuckin 81 switched to the coil tapped (single coil) of the 89, big difference! this is also dry, no reverb, or acoustic simulator.

Here's the latest from EMG... The 81TW is based on the 81 but gives you give you the option between single or dual coil. The 707TW gives you the same choice for 7 strings and features alnico magnets. The PA is based on their P but uses alnicos to give you a more traditional sound.
