An E-bike we built in 2 weeks. Top speed is 60 MPH. The acceleration is unmatched. I am often challenged by cars for a race and never been beat. 15 horsepower max Briggs and Stratton motor running at 48V. In this video we compare it to a performance moped. We can not use it to its full potential, for risks of another broken chain. We have been through 5 chains, and 2 derailleurs.

This is a tribute to my little commuter ebike I put together using a Goldenmotor 36V hub motor kit along with four 12V 10Ah SLA batteries to give me a 48V system.
It can go 40km/h for 25km and carry me up hills easily. VERY fun :o)

Making things is just too much fun so we put this together to get home and back to the shop. Gas just isnt fun to buy anymore. These 4 batteries make the 48v we use. A perm motor and a controller was all we needed. Single sprocket and beefy bmx chain. We messed with different teeth until we found this setup good. Its seen 63mph and lasts about 40min if going about 30mph on and off the "gas".
