We could tell Connor started reading around 2 years old. He's in Kindergarten now and is reading on a second grade level. We are working on comprehension. He can de-code the written word very well, but doesn't understand everything he reads.

My daughters voiced their complaints about Jake to me. They see him as an equal and feel that he should be treated the same as him. This is the first time I had to tell Winter of Jakes delay, I had mentioned it to Russia in the past in the same way i express it here. I am happy though that they don't really buy it and expect him to be treated equal. That is acceptance if you ask me.

This is a video of my 5 year old daughter Reece reading her first "bob book", with the help of her 8 year old sister Riley. Reece was diagnosed at the age of 3.5 with PDD-NOS (high functioning autism). We are a homeschooling family, so Reece is being taught alongside her siblings (including an 11 year old brother with Aspergers Syndrome) by mom.

Our dogs name is Sushi. Being that Jake was not good at auditory processing I simplified the
process. The first video footage is from May 2006 about 1 month into this process. The new footage at the end shows that I can say much more complex
sentences now and he is able to answer.
