An excellent visitation to Einstein's theory as pertains the 4th dimension of Time/Space and the speed of light. Dr. David Goodstein of CalTech intros the segment full of very well done animation and explanation.
The story, told backwards in MEMENTO-style sequence, was created by Piet Kroon and six teams of animators from all over the world. Music by John Barry from 'Peggy Sue Got Married' replaces the original score.
A snip from the Robert Townsend movie, "Hollywood Shuffle" about an aspiring actor's dayjob at 'Winky Dinky Dog'. More than comedy, it's about art. VERY well written and performed. "Batty-BATty-BATTY!"
Yes, beauty is only skin deep. This existential peek into the bathroom proves the point. [Music from the Gungrave TV anime series combined with inspired video footage]
England's Sir Arthur Eddington tried to expand on the Theory of Relativity by Einstein. This is what happened. BTW - The Absolute Elsewhere is "The set of all things and occurances that CAN never happen and WILL never happen"
Bobby Bittman - venerable comic and very close friend of Sammy Maudlin - appears with Sammy - I can't help but laugh every time he says, "How wah yah?"
This video was excised from of Lindsay's HERBY movie and run over the credits - the story goes that Lindsay was not happy. BUT!.. a very catchy pop tune - edited in length - you'll get the idea.
Katie Lee did a GREAT album around 1956 called, "Songs Of Couch & Consultation". VERSION 2 of an adaptation of one of those songs which was used as the music for a college class in video editing.
An AV mashup of a music video and a tune from the 60s - it's amazing how the two combined over the five minutes with only six edit points between the two.
So NOT a 'show the neighbors how much money you have' room - this is the little used store-a-torium inside the front door. Desperately in need of a woman's touch - it's just 'space filled with stuff'
The FBI has a new warning message for DVDs - but this version goes a step further - driving home the point that copying DVDs is illegal. Best Part: Jimmy Cagney scene from 'Angels With Dirty Faces', "I dohn wann diiieee!"
An assignment at school in the LIGHTING FOR DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY class was to photograph a brick in the mroning, at noon, and in the early evening. This is what happened for me.
WAY ahead of it's time - back in the 90s there was a bizarre noise I kept hearing from my TV - it went by so fast I finally decided to just leave the VCR running ALL DAY and ended up capturing what was shown - The tune is a brainworm - once you hear it - it keeps bouncing around in your head.
A newer edit of the existing video which consists of edits from about 16 different Apple iPod ads over the tune 'Atom-Bomb' where the lyrics have been removed.
Absolving themselves of ALL responsibility, it's the the Power-Crystal Energy-Chakra Tarot-Card Quija-Board Alternative-Healing crowd. Enter the world make-believe-pretend stuff of Transcendental Hands-On-Training.
The intro sequence to a compilation DVD I just made, you can read the title 2 ways, "What are YOU lookin' at?" - or "What are you LOOKIN' at?" - either way it's just a mish-mosh of visuals that seemed to be interesting. The audio is a loop of the bridge in Sheena Easton's 'Strut' - which I head on the P.A. system at the grocery store - and had to run home and turn into some sort of mantra.
