A short rock climbing video we made at Mount Arapiles. Features some footage from my helmet cam which I was trying out. Thanks to Graham for meeting me over there on a break I really needed, and for supplying the music for the film
Passport to Insanity - Part 3 of 3 (9:34)
Dan tackles the monstrous roof crack while eagles and bushwalkers watch from afar, but then the duo find themselves short of time and rope! An improvised retreat leads them to safety and the chance to fight another day.
Music used without permission from Red Snapper, Groove Armada and Infusion.
Silly vid of Rich, Gav and I climbing at Morialta in South Australia. There are some long-ish climbing sequences, appealing mostly to fellow climbers, but also some silly special effects at 1:32, 4:17, and 8:42.
But I wouldn't really bother watching it unless you don't have much to do for 10 minutes. I really should make a seperate channel for my crap videos...
Our ascent of the classic Conrad Kain route on Bugaboo Spire, British Columbia, Canada. This was my first real alpine climb and was an exhilarating day. The footage varies in quality but hopefuly captures the essence of this amazing place. If you open the video location in Google earth you can see some amazing topography.
For my intro to Canadian climbing, Graham and I do the classic route on Eisenhower Tower. Perfect weather and the most breathtaking dawn I have ever seen made this a most memorable trip, and a good warm up for the Bugaboos, where we headed next.
3 of us went mountain biking and 2 of us didn't say anything about the electric fence... Our friend Duane got blasted, but we caught it on helemt cam so it was all worth it!
This was the first test of a helmet cam I rigged up, and is footage of my friend Nadine (actually mostly her butt!) as she and I rode part of the Yarabilla trail in the Adelaide Hills. The helmet cam was a simple CMOS mini security camera that I bought on eBay, and for the price it is great. See the related vid titled 'A simple helmet cam'. Music courtesy of Green Day, hope they don't mind...
