mariska died on the 2 of december 2006. she recorded a lot of songs after her period with shocking blue. one is 'close to you' from the carpenters.

Get it on was the b side of Gonna sing my song 1975. In my eyes, this is one of the most complete songs Shocking Blue ever recorded. It has a lot of power, sometimes easy listening and sometimes back to the 60's (listen to the sitar).
