The funeral service for Robin Moore, author of more than 80 books, including "The Green Berets," was held March 1, 2008, at Grace Episcopal Church in Hopkinsville, Ky. The service included a "Rendering of Military Honors" and the playing of "The Ballad of The Green Berets."
