This is my live version of the Tom Paxton song, recorded at my CD release concert at the RedHouse Theatre in Syracuse, NY, in Sept. 2004. That's Henry Jankiewicz on the fiddle.

Fiddler Elana James, with guitarist Whit Smith and bassist Jake Erwin performing "Exactly Like You" at the Persian Terrace of the Hotel Syracuse, Jan. 17, 2008.
My first music video blog - my living room performance of "Pay Me My Money Down", influenced more by Rick Nestler's version than by Springsteen's.
April 16, 2007
The Tattered Hoyt duo (Rush Tattered - snare drum, kazoo & vocals - and Larry Hoyt - guitar & vocals) performs Jessie Fuller's "San Francisco Bay Blues" - April 7, 2007, Syracuse, New York. Video by Pam Proctor.
Larry Hoyt & the Goode Acoustics (fiddler Henry Jankiewicz & mandolinist Ed VanCott) perform Larry's original song, "The Cajun Country Dance." Video by Pam Proctor.
A video I shot and edited - of one of my favorite songs by the very talented Dana "Short Order" Cooke. We shot this whole thing in about 2 and a half hours, back in 1997. I'm glad I got this one out of the archives.
This is my version of the Hank Williams tune, recorded at the RedHouse Theatre in Syracuse, NY, in Sept. 2004. This performance felt like it belonged in black & white. Despite my screwing up the lyrics a bit, Henry Jankiewicz's fiddle playing saves the day.
Here's the opening number from fiddler Elana James, along with guitarist Whit Smith and bassist Jake Erwin, at the Persian Terrace of the Hotel Syracuse, 1/17/08. Introducing Elana is the show's promoter, Tom Honan.
The group Diamond Someday performing the Utah Phillips song, "Orphan Train." This black & white version is edited together from 3 different cameras. A color-corrected version in color may appear some day, but for now, I really like the black & white. Comments welcomed. Video shot by Pam Proctor and Larry Hoyt.
The duo, Beaucoup Blue, recorded at the WAER studios, Syracuse, NY, for a live broadcast of the folk radio show, Common Threads. Audio and video recorded by Larry Hoyt, host of Common Threads.
my living room performance of the Bruce Springsteen song. Not the best sound quality, but I thought this was an interesting recording from November, 2004.
Here's Victoria Vox performing her original song, "Christmas with You," by request, at a 2 AM showcase at the recent NorthEast Regional Folk Alliance (NERFA) conference (11/11/07). Please forgive the poor quality of the video image, and the sound could be better, but this is such a sweet, pretty, appealing song.
my live performance of a song that was something of a hit for the Springfields back in the early Sixties, and later recorded by Linda Ronstadt. Recorded live at Burritts' Cafe in beautiful downtown Weedsport on 10/20/07.
Fiddler Elana James, with guitarist Whit Smith and bassist Jake Erwin, performing "24 Hours a Day" at the Persian Terrace of the Hotel Syracuse, Jan. 17, 2008.
here's a live recording of my version of the Dylan song, performed 10/20/07 at Burritts' Cafe in beautiful downtown Weedsport. The mics on my camera picked up a lot of room noise, while onstage I don't remember the room being that noisey. Despite a relatively small attendance that night, I still enjoyed performing for the folks who were there, and they seemed to appreciate my efforts.
Video I shot of a Morris Dance group doing a Sword Dance at a May Day celebration on Thornden Park hill - at dawn on May 1, 2001. This is a wonderful annual tradition here in Syracuse, New York (and elsewhere). This is only a very brief sample of the various dances and skits that take place.
Here's another live rendition of one of my favorite songs I've ever written, "The Cajun Country Dance." This version was recorded at the Syracuse Center for the Arts when I was the "presenter" at the June '07 meeting of the Guitar League. I really enjoyed the natural reverb of the Center for the Arts.
This video is part of my 2004 CD release concert at the RedHouse Theatre in Syracuse, NY. Unfortunately, the video tape ended during this song, cutting this recording a bit short. Still, I hope you enjoy this rendition of one of my original songs.
Here's two songs from the duo Beaucoup Blue, recorded live in concert at the Westcott Community Center (2/9/08). This is a "preview" b&w edit, using footage from 2 cameras. This video, and other videos from this concert, will ultimately be comprised of footage from 3 cameras, for a real nifty semi-pro look and sound. Video & editing by Larry Hoyt. Enjoy...
