A brief travelogue, showing 5 surfers' attempts to get one of those legendarily long and powerful rides on the tidal Bore of the River Severn, Gloucestershire, England.Shot at 3 locations on the 20th and 21st March 2007
September 07. I didn't do so well on this occasion. I met some good people while following the tidal surge upriver, and this is in their honour. Nick, I hope I got your name right.
This was shot on the the 2 days of a big storm which hit the UK coast in March 08. There were storm surges in Devon and Cornwall. Nothing extra on the river, in the eye of the storm. Do we care?
A few questions put to Stuart Ballard of Saveoursevern.org regarding a few questionable statements made on TV by Jonathon Porritt. Stu has a real love for the area ,and has been a vocal advocate for the both the ecosystem and those people who have a day to day practical relationship with this unique and wonderful environment.
Just to prove he did it, here is the evidence from Oct 07. Camera operated by Tony, with myself failing to get a ride on the bodyboard as Dave (Rodney) sweeps majestically past , neatly swerving round a tree ..classy wobble there boy!:-)
