Hamelin playing Roslavets' five preludes at a concert some years ago. Hamelin once described Roslavets as "Scriabin on acid". I highly doubt you'll hear this music anywhere else...except maybe on Hamelin's CD...
Earl Wild's performance of Liszt's Waltz on Themes of Gounod's "Faust". A truly virtuosic performance, though admittedly it is not quite as powerful as the one from his "Demonic Liszt" album from the 60s. I believe this was the finale of his Ohio State concert.
Earl Wild plays Medtner's "Sonata Tragica" from Forgotten Melodies, Op. 39. Unfortunately, the sound cuts out about 1/2 way through, but it reenters soon after. The last couple of minutes are thankfully intact.
Earl Wild plays Liszt's Hungarian Rhapsody no. 4 at some concert from the 80s. Judging by the announcer's voice at the beginning, I think this was recorded in South America.
Interview with pianist Earl Wild and conductor Gerard Schwarz on an 80s morning talk show, Today in New York, hosted by Ponchitta Pierce. Earl Wild also performs Chopin's Waltz in E minor, Op. posth., no. 4. This is part 1 of 2.
Earl Wild plays Chopin's Prelude no. 16, "Hades", from a variety show from the late 50s I think (He has dark hair!). I dunno which TV show this was, maybe Jack Paar?
Interview with pianist Earl Wild and conductor Gerard Schwarz on an 80s morning talk show, Today in New York, hosted by Ponchitta Pierce. Earl Wild also performs Moszkowski's Etincelles, Op. 36/6, and Gerard Schwarz conducts an excerpt from one of Mozart's symphonies. This is part 2 of 2.
