"battle" round of a DDR freestyle tournament I set up...no arrows here (ohmy)
bemani tracks used:
Pink Pong - "Alien Temple"
UKS - "Wonderland"
DJ Spugna - "The Biggest Roaster"
Vincent De Moor - Fly Away"
First full length piece I ever choreographed...kind of a hip-hop/modern/what- the-hell hybrid. I fell in love with this track in London during the big-beat craze of the late 90s, and couldn't help but choose it once I became more involved in dance. =)
sasha = saucesome. I made this music video in a weekend, mostly wanting to take advantage of the (rare) snowfall and learn the basics of post-production. This is made pretty obvious by the over-editing you see, but it was pretty fun little project overall. =)
(for some reason, the mp4 looks all grainy here yet perfectly fine elsewhere.)
Round 3 of the Freestyle Revolution Project had players choose from a list of famous routines of the past to emulate. I picked Ray/Hypnotikz's LTR routine, and here's what came of it...
To make this, some friends and I each allowed ourselves two hours to shoot whatever we could. Nobody had any idea what the others were doing. Suffice it to say, the finished product was SMASHING.
Small scale collaboration with friends, consists of a few vignettes revolving around annoying cellphone conversations (w/ a twist). This was my first stab at directing dialogue, mixing sound, and hamming it up on camera, so I'd appreciate it if the criticism was constructive. =)
Only couples routine I've ever performed, way too much fun to choreograph. The theme was "the evolution of freestyle", and John and I tried to reference as many outdated moves and styles from 2000-2006 as we could in a minute and a half. Won us first + a hundred bucks. =P
[yeah, the vid quality is crap in case you hadn't noticed]
