I believe this to be one of Marty's best performances and one of the most simplistic and beautifully shot New Monkees videos. But that's just my opinion :)
Here's the un-official music video for the unreleased song "Late Night". Filmmaker Tom Joslin was running around shooting New Monkees home movies. An official video was never released for this song.
Good visual effects for a little syndicated television show were hard to come by (not to mention expensive!). So in this version of "Burning Desire" we experimented a little with a 'heat sensor' camera. And where is Larry, you ask? He needed to go off and be alone. He probably ended up finding a girl or something ;)
This was one of four short films in a series called "Fable Town" written and directed by Paul Tassie. It first aired in a 1987 episode of "New Monkees".
The year was about 1984 or 1985. Bored just sitting in a dorm room, they picked up a 'camcorder', threw on a Monkees album (ran it at 45 rpm, ofcourse) and danced the night away.
