London, Ontario was the best place to be on July 5 and 6, 2008. Dobet and her tight band consisting of Colin Laroche de Feline, Nabil Mehrezi, and Boris Tchango on drums just lifted our staid little hearts up to the clouds with their harmonies and cool riffs. I am a fan for life. http://www.myspace.c om/dobetgnahore http://www.sunfest.o n.ca
This was the best concert of the year! When you hear something as amazing as this ensemble, you realize the power of music to bring people together. Seun Kuti is 25 years old and has a powerhouse musical legacy. The son of legendary Fela Kuti has led his late father's band for the last ten years! http://www.myspace.c om/seunkuti and http://www.sunfest.o n.ca
The Akron/Family is uber versatile. I don't know, maybe they should get a chance to run the world! Think about it. If a band could run the world, which one would you choose? You are not allowed to say "U2." They had their chance already. WHat kind of a world would Akron/Family provide...hmmmm? http://www.akronfami ly.com and http://www.killingth ebuddha.com/dogma/ak ron.htm.
And a boffo finish it was! We start off with our very own Fire Girl, Lindsay! Killer Kandy can always bring you to the boiling point. London, Ontario will never be the same, thank you very much!
Yup, she'll ride you hard and put you away wet as they say in the horsey set. The mysterious Suzy Sleeze will take charge of you and rein you in! Suzy is another member of London's most entertaining troupe of wandering creatives!

Sinister Society put on an amazing show on August 30, 2007. They combined old tyme burlesque, music, magic, vaudeville, freaks, fire artists, dancers, with a touch of that ol' gothic razzle dazzle.
Gorgeous drag diva, Michelle Ross, is one of Toronto's treasures. I caught this performance last fall (2007). She has worked in Paris, London, Puerto Rico, Chicago and at La Cage in Vegas among other places.
Karyn Ellis has such an expressive voice. So expressive, in fact, that I wish I could run my own memories and experiences and have them translated into Karyn Ellis songs, cuz she can capture those inner voices of ours so well. This concert took place in London, Ontario on Feb. 8, 2008 at The Aeolian Hall. http://www.karynelli s.com

There are not enough superlatives to use when describing this concert on the first night of Sunfest 2008 in London, Ontario. Seun Kuti and Egypt 80 could have kept playing all night and we wish they had. http://www.seunkuti. com and http://www.sunfest.o n.ca

Hostess with the mostest (and I do mean mostest), Sera K. Sarah This was so much fun to watch. It is set up as a silent film episode. And it works! Sorry I couldn't pan my camera fast enuff to catch all their fancy moves but here's a taste of the action anyway. Big kudos to them and Sinister Society in London, Ontario.
