This is an 80$ robot arm kit. Its pretty cool for beginners I think, (there is also a 70$ PC interface). it has several DC motors and runs on 4 D batteries. The only draw back is that its slow(i sped up this video otherwise it would have been 4 minutes) and the gripper is very weak, but its a good intro to robot arms.
This robot is sound activated but it was a little buggy, sometimes the motors caused interference when both were running and the variable resistor/sensitivity was difficult to adjust exactly but overall it worked. A good educational kit if your interested in the electronics aspects of building a robot. Not quite a frog robot though and still in the mechanical illusion category, but its fun.
My first robot... yay, it works! and it obeys the three laws. (technically this does not fit the definition of a robot because it is not autonomous in anyway and some might argue from a philosophical standpoint that it is actually a mechanical illusion but the package says robot, so how about that!.)
