This is a recording of myself doing a full completion of the arcade version of OutRun in just over 5 minutes, game time (actual game time - 5'17"??, real time approx. 6 minutes). It would be nice to have some more original OutRun clips on youtube...
I've decided to upload some gameplay footage of Bokandesuyo, so that Youtube can have something other than the opening FMV. As usual, I recorded my own play. This time round (and probably for the majority of my future videos), I'm recording from the actual system and not an emulator.
With the awful-looking PSP videos floating around, I thought I'd better make a recording of the original 16-bit version of Earthworm Jim to protect the game's integrity.
A recording of myself playing the hilarious boss rush stage of Jikkyou Oshaberi Parodius; my favourite horizontal shmup. Complete with the coolest boss in any game ever, Penclaw (the giant purple penguin with a bucket on its head). Fun times.
Here's some gameplay footage of the second stage of this obscure shmup. They're all around 9 minutes long, so I won't be uploading any more videos of this game unless specifically requested to do so.
The final stage of Gradius Gaiden on the PSX, being played by myself, using Vic Viper (wouldn't have it any other way).
Quite a big video, this one, clocking in at over 8 minutes in length and 79MB in file size. It actually wasn't as hard to create as I had thought it would be; it only took about 5 attempts to beat the stage on 1 life. The moving walls are what gave me the most grief.
A technique showing how to get the maximum amount of lives in one "turn" on Super Mario World (ie, without having to repeat the level). Don't n00b it up by randomly pressing L and R like I did. :P
Footage of myself playing through the first stage of Super Mario Land, but with the normal music replaced by an official remix by the Mario Freaks orchestra.
Here's some gameplay footage of Chrono Trigger, with the regular battle music replaced with the unused one that was left in the game... just so you can see what it would have been like.
The final stage on a 1CC run of the game. No deaths on this stage, pretty nice. ^_^ Sorry about the frameskip about halfway through, I have no idea why that happened. BTW, you can verify that this was a 1CC run by seeing that the hi score total is equal to the current score.
The second of of my opinionated "Top 10" videos is here! If you haven't played everything on this list, well, suffice to say I recommend these games to you. All recording was made by myself from my personal collection using a PC-Engine Duo-R. Title card images were created by my girlfriend (feenaflame) and are used with her written permission.
A recording of myself playing the third stage of the arcade version of Gradius 2, AKA Vulcan Venture, at full rank (ie, the hardest possible difficulty). DESTROY THE CORE!
Just some footage of the new Star Soldier game available as a WiiWare download. The gameplay is awesome, kinda disappointed that this is like a "caravan" version and not a full game though. Hopefully a more complete game is in the pipeline.
A video of myself clearing the special stage at the end of Gokujou Parodius. Not a 1LC or anything, but beating this stage is a feat in itself for most people... O_o
My favourite stage on this bizarre vertical shmup by Jaleco, AKA "The Game Paradise". The girl is called Misato, and the song is called "Lovely Star". This stage isn't on the arcade version of the game.
