This is a short video picturing Standardbred broodmares and some young horses that urgently need homes. The breeder is out of money and there is nowhere for these horses to go. Please share this video with others looking for horses. All the broodmares have been broke to drive and have had regualr handling.
Here's a short little movie about Performance Equine Rescue Network's horses. All of our horses were rescued from either the PMU industry or feedlots and are looking for new homes.
I just picked up these mares from the breeders. All but Jetta, who is in training, has been placed. There are many more mares where these came from. Please email PERNInfo@wildblue.ne t for info
They are all located in Northern California.
Ranger is one of our feedlot rescues. He is recently gelded and halterbroke. Ranger is looking for someone who wants a youngster to start who is patient and kind. He's got great potential as a ranch or working horse.
Jetta is one of our rescued Standardbreds. She has just been started under saddle. This video shows her ground driving and under saddle in the round pen. Jetta is available.
Susie is an 8 year old Standardbred mare looking for a new home. She just arrived direct from the track. Susie is a sweet mare, appears sound and full of energy -- but sensible and quiet too. This short video is of Susie's turned out with our other Standardbreds for the first time.
Just put in the new round pen and Stephanie and Savannah are giving it a try. Savannah is riding Amanda, one of our Standardbred rescues. Amanda is green and Savannah a beginner, but they look good together, don't they?
Lucy is a pony mare that we rescued from a feedlot. Lucy has been very fearful and we're working on gaining trust with her. One of those ways is during feeding time. When Lucy faces me I'll continue to approach with her hay. When she needs to leave because the pressure is too much, I stop and wait.
Kass, a 23+ year old mare, films a few minutes of her day. You'll meet Kyrie, one of our Standardbred rescues, eat along with Kass and do a little head scratching. Not too exciting, but it's breakfast time and she has her priorities in order.
Kass gives us a look at her morning activities. Kass is a NSH mare in her 20s and has free range of our facility. In this episode she naps, eats and visits with some of the horses on the property.
Kass has clearly been studying up on film and this one just goes to show what a horse can do with a camera! Here you go, KassCAM's very first EQUINE ART film! Enjoy!
